Our First Home Project: Going Greige with Behr Paint

Last week, Ty and I officially took the plunge & put in an offer on a house. After a few days of back-and-forth, the owners approved our offer. We will close at the end of January! There’s a lot of excitement in our tiny apartment to get moving.

Now comes the horrifying part: making this place our own. While intimidating, we’re very excited but have to start our list of projects we need to tackle. Since we’re currently living with family, we’re in no rush to move giving us adequate time to get everything ready before we fully move in. It’s a newer home, so we’re lucky to have minimal work to do that isn’t purely preference-based. So, before we move in, we have our list of duties that will start right away but the first is definitely painting.

Right now, the color scheme is simply boring with white walls. To be honest, these are the kind of white walls where you do a double-take to see if it’s really white or a sneaky cream color. With that, I’ve decided to tackle painting the entire house. Surprise, surprise – I’m going greige!

My husband did all of the research on paint. Behr and Valspar were the highest rated brands of quality, interior paint at a reasonable price. We’ve used Behr before on other projects and loved everything about the 2-in-1 paint and primer. I’ve put together a palette of my favorite Behr colors to share with you & once we complete our project, I’ll make sure to share the results.
